- full-time instruction of the department's aerospace design courses,

across curricula.

In addition, the successful
candidate will provide service to the University by participating in
committees and departmental service commitments. An excellent machining and
design lab with four dedicated full time staff is available to assist the
LPSOE in teaching design courses. The successful applicant will also
collaborate with an existing LSOE in the mechanical engineering curriculum.

A Ph.D. in a relevant field
of engineering, or equivalent combination of exceptional aerospace design
experience and demonstrated strength in theoretical analysis, is required.
Applicants must have a strong record of excellence, innovation, and passion
for teaching, broad-based experience in aeronautical and/or astronautical
systems engineering design, along with strong interpersonal, writing and
computer skills. The position is a nine month (100% time) appointment. An
LPSOE position closely parallels that of a tenure-track faculty member.
