Services of Academic Advancement and Training

The Academic Advancement and Training (AA&T) unit manages more than 2,000 actions annually related to appointment, advancement, leaves, and retention of academic personnel. AA&T staff members also advise on issues, policies, and procedures, and provide procedural training, including hands-on training in AP On-Line Review.

Training courses

AA&T staff members develop, coordinate, and deliver campuswide training for academic personnel staff and academic appointees. This includes a series of academic personnel courses offered through Staff Education and Development that lead to a Certificate in Academic Personnel. (These courses may also be taken individually by those who do not wish to obtain the certificate). The series includes classroom training in AP On-Line Review.
