The Academic Compensation and Data Reporting office is responsible for the oversight, development, and implementation of academic compensation policies and procedures. This office also facilitates the approval process for requests for additional compensation and requests for recall appointments, provides campuswide training on academic compensation, and produces academic personnel data reports for UCSD, the UC Office of the President, and other constituents as appropriate. Kelly Maheu is director of the Academic Compensation and Data Reporting unit. Salary Reduction/Furlough Plan Advise and consult on academic salary issues, implement local and system-wide salary programs (e.g. range adjustments), and maintain academic salary scales.
Payroll Training and Assistance Train and instruct campus staff on academic payroll actions.
Facilitate the processing and payment of additional compensation for academic employees. Manage the approval process for compensated administrative service (non-Senior Management Group positions) for faculty and equivalent titles.
Special Payments and Processes Process exceptional honoraria requests for academic-related activities, facilitate intercampus payments, and oversee special programs related to academic compensation.
Leaves and Other Actions Affecting Pay and Benefits Advise and consult on the salary and benefits implications of leaves, reductions in time, summer salary, and personnel agreements involving academic employees.
Manage the approval process for recalling retired academic employees to active University service.
Generate annual reports and respond to ad hoc data requests related to academic employees.
