Description: The Department of Mathematics at the University of California, San Diego, is seeking outstanding candidates to fill approximately 6 tenure track/tenured positions to start July 2008. The level for the large majority of these positions is at the Assistant Professor level, however, one or two positions are available for distinguished mathematicians with exceptional research records of the highest caliber.
  Applicants for all positions must possess a Ph.D. and should have outstanding accomplishments in both research and teaching. We encourage applications from any area of pure mathematics, applied mathematics, or statistics.
