Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action & Diversity Awards The 1999 SVCAA Recognition Award was presented to the Graduate School of International Relations & Pacific Studies. From the Dean and the faculty to the management and line employees, promoting diversity is a priority at IR/PS that has resulted in the promotion and retention of several staff members. IR/PS has been a leader in these efforts for many years, but their accomplishments this past year stood out within Academic Affairs. IR/PS managers deserve special recognition for their personal involvement.
These and other examples are clear demonstration that good business practices translate into winning solutions for maintaining and enhancing a diverse and motivated group of employees. The positive efforts of a teamwork approach has resulted in successful staff recruitment, retention, development, and diversification efforts. Award Criteria
