Program Overview:

Each year, the UCSD Chancellor’s Associates recognize faculty members for their scholarship and overall contributions to the University and the community, with a citation and honorarium in the amount of $2,500. Nominations will be accepted during the fall quarter and presentations made at the March 2008 meeting of the Chancellor's Associates. One faculty member will be selected in each of the following categories:

Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching
Excellence in Graduate Teaching
Excellence in Research in Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences
Excellence in Research in Science & Engineering
Excellence in Community Service

Nomination Process:

The Vice Chancellors of Academic Affairs, Health Sciences and Marine Sciences invite nominations in each of the five categories according to the process defined by each individual Vice Chancellor area. The Academic Affairs process can be downloaded here.

Nomination Deadline:

Nomination packets and an additional 3 copies (consisting of the letter of endorsement, the appropriate nomination form, AND a copy of the nominee's c.v.) are due (c/o Nate Burke, MC 0001) by Friday, November 21, 2008.
