The Division of Biostatistics and Bioinformatics at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) invites applications for four research faculty positions at the Assistant, Associate and full Professor levels. Candidates should have an established research program in the development of biostatistics/bioinformatics methodology, and a record of successful collaborative research and consultation. Responsibilities will also include teaching medical students, graduate students and fellows. Rank will be determined by skills and qualifications. UCSD is one of the world's leading medical research institutions, and home to the San Diego Supercomputer Center, which leads the NSF's National Partnership for Advanced Computation infrastructure. The Division of Biostatistics and Bioinformatics faculty currently numbers thirteen, plus 15 professional staff who work in the Biostatistics and Bioinformatics Informatics Laboratory within the Division to provide biostatistical consultation under the supervision of Division faculty. A particular focus for the division is the development of methodology responsive to new quantitative and scientific problems arising from recent advances in medicine and biology.
