The EBE Section and the Division of Biological Sciences
(http://www-biology.ucsd.edu/) are committed to building a strong program to
meet the scientific and educational challenges of the 21st century. The
section expects to hire as many as six faculty over the next two years. We
currently seek applications from outstanding scientists in the fields of
ecology, evolution, and behavior. Applications from junior candidates are
strongly encouraged although tenured scientists will be considered. Area of
scholarship is open and all fields will be considered, but we are
particularly interested in candidates who's research applies to the
ecological and evolutionary challenges faced by the earth's biota in
response to human alteration of the global environment. Applicants should
demonstrate outstanding records of research achievement, and be able to
attract significant extramural research support. Appointees are expected to
participate fully in departmental affairs and teaching.

Level of appointment will be commensurate with
qualifications and experience.

Salary will be based on published UC pay scales.
