Dr. Barbara Sawrey serves as the Associate Vice Chancellor for Undergraduate Education (AVCUE).
Working with faculty, the Academic Senate, the Colleges, the administration, Associated Students leadership,
and colleagues throughout the campus and UC system, the AVCUE is a strong voice and advocate for undergraduate education.
She leads the Council on Undergraduate Education, oversees the Office for Students with Disabilities (OSD) and the
Office of Academic Integrity, and chairs or serves on a wide variety of other campus and systemwide committees, task forces
and work-groups to promote excellence in undergraduate education. In her role as the campus Accreditation Liaison Officer,
she is responsible for leading campus-wide reaffirmation of accreditation reviews, initiatives and activities.
She is a member of the Senior Vice Chancellor's management team.
Marie Sidney works closely with Barbara Sawrey, Associate Vice Chancellor - Undergraduate Education and Bonnie Horstmann,
Assistant Vice Chancellor Program Planning & Undergraduate Education and supervises the staff. Her responsibilities
include: providing high-level analytical support to a wide range of program planning and undergraduate education committees,
initiatives and reaffirmation of accreditation activities; conducting research, analyzing data, and preparing summaries of
findings and recommendations.
Sandy is the Program Planning & Undergraduate Education Programmer. He designs, develops, and maintains multi-user database systems
and database-driven web applications.
April is responsible for the overall administration of the Undergraduate Seminar Programs, academic administration of CAPE
and provides a high level of support to multiple academic planning and undergraduate initiatives.
Gail provides high level executive and programmatic support to the office of the Associate Vice Chancellor for
Undergraduate Education (AVCUE), and the office of the Assistant Vice Chancellor of Program Planning & Undergraduate
Education. She maintains complex calendars coordinates campus-wide programs for Academic Affairs, such as the Summer
Graduate Teaching Fellows, Instructional Improvement and Regents Lecturer Programs, and assists with special projects.
Dan is responsible for the overall program administration of campus-wide Undergraduate Program Reviews in conjunction
with the Academic Senate, provides high-level administrative and analytical support to the unit’s committees, reaffirmation
of accreditation reviews, develops and maintains the Program Planning and Undergraduate Education website, provides program
administration backup to the SVCAA Seminar Programs and to the Course and Professor Evaluation (CAPE) program. He is also
responsible for maintaining relational databases and assists with special projects.
